◆顺便说一句，我或许一开始就说，如果一个事情不是科学，它不见得坏。比方说，爱情不是科学。因此，如果某个事情据说不是科学，那不意味着它有什么毛病；那仅仅意味着它不是科学。

◆只在告诉你某个实验没有做成的时候，科学才有用；如果它只告诉你那些进展顺利的事情，科学就没什么好的。

◆因此从心理上说，我们必须把全部理论装在脑袋里；对于完全相同的物理现象，每一位物理学家好歹要知道六七种不同的理论阐述。

◆研究是一种获得信息的办法。你造炸弹，不必指望研究 —— 你发现怎么造炸弹，那指望研究。

◆控制科学发明，科学就完了。科学是我们全部工程发展的源泉—— 小心别拿控制把科学杀死了。

◆单是各门科学本身，就包含一个事关危险的教训：大家居然相信前代最伟大的导师们不可能犯错误。

◆科学的这些思想，止于敬畏与神秘之中，迷失于不确定的边缘，但显得如此深远、如此感人，那么说宇宙的全部编排只为做上帝的戏台，让上帝观看人类为善恶的斗争，这个说法就似乎不恰当了。
