我的思考：网上常常见到“我们在山顶上相见”，但这个山顶是什么样的，达到了能够获得什么，能够避免什么，什么是永恒不变的，都是我们无法回答的。世间万事瞬息万变，即使达到了所谓山顶的人也无法保证永远待在山顶。也许我们要做的并不是达到山顶而是在半山腰找到一个相对平衡的点，既能够满足我们所需要的归属感，也能够获得一定的社会地位，同时也能够获得内心的安宁。而这种宁静或者平衡只有这样的一类人能够得到，也就是文中所说到的，the deep regard given to those who know, and value, who they themselves are.，就是那些知道自己是什么样的人并且知道自己想要什么。
