--瞧我说的,仿佛花朵

生来就有思维的能力;

藏书票的票面上除了票主姓名外,有些印有Ex libris,有些则印有His/Her book或This book belongs to…或From the library of…

从此“hobby horse”便被用来比喻某人特别喜爱的某种消遣,《牛津英语大词典》中记载到,“hobby horse”came the expression “to ride one's hobby-horse”, meaning “to follow a favourite pastime”。

(My Uncle Toby on his Hobby-horse),这里的Hobby-Horse意为“兴趣爱好”,画面中托比叔叔的兴趣爱好是与友人进行模拟军事行动

纽顿在1927年的自印本《不打不相识》(A Reprimand and What Came of It)中,介绍了此票设计的来龙去脉。 纽顿该文被收录于《举世最伟大的书》(The Greatest Book in the World)中。

据橡树丘书店创始人、资深纽顿研究者鲍勃•弗利克(Bob Fleck)于1986年编著的《爱德华•纽顿藏品集》(A. EDWARD NEWTON, A COLLECTION OF HIS WORKS. Catalogue 86.)
